The Last Dollar
An all time favorite of mine from the fall colors this year. Taken on Last Dollar road, it is proof of perseverance. We were surprised to find many other photographers and outdoorsmen searching for the same thing we were, but with some exploration and determination, we captured this shot during Golden Hour, just before locating an awesome camp site on a neighboring, almost abandoned road. Named for the road it was taken on, and in commemoration of the people across time who adventured and explored to find places like this, despite the harsh conditions and rugged terrain.

A Lonely rock in the middle of the first Alta Lake supports various life throughout the continually harsh High Alpine, Colorado environment. With a perfect vertical reflection, the symbolism of a tree both above ground and below, this shot illustrates to me survival and connection.
